Assistant Pastor George Baxter
Pastor George Baxter, a licensed minister and evangelist under the Bethel Temple Apostolic organization, is originally from Clarendon, Jamaica. He has been walking with the Lord for over 30 years.
He began his service at Vision Emmanuel Apostolic Church, where he was actively involved in the Sunday School Department, Youth Department, and Choir Ministry.
He later became a member of Bethel Temple Apostolic Circuit of Churches, where he served as the minister in charge of the Brotherhood and Evangelism Departments. As an evangelist, he led numerous street meetings and preached the Word of God throughout various parts of Jamaica. He was also involved in hospital ministry, door-to-door evangelism, and the visitation of shut-ins.
Pastor Baxter served as Assistant Pastor of the Bethel Temple Apostolic Church in Moores for over seven years. In this role, he preached and taught the Word of God, baptized new converts, mentored saints, and helped win souls for the Kingdom of God.
Between 2005 and 2007, while working in the Cayman Islands, he attended All Nations United Pentecostal Church, where he participated in outreach ministries to boys’ homes, seniors’ homes, and correctional facilities. In his home community, he also served as chaplain for both the Police Youth Club and the Community Youth Club.
Pastor Baxter is described as a man of faith and prayer, with a deep passion for souls. He has frequently been called upon to pray for individuals, many of whom have testified to being healed and delivered.
He has devoted the greater part of his life to serving the Lord and His people. In addition to spiritual leadership, he has helped build several of the churches where he served—laying blocks and assisting in construction from foundation to roof—as he is a professional builder with over 25 years of experience in the construction industry.
Pastor Baxter holds a certificate in Biblical Studies from the Jamaica Apostolic Bible Institute, along with certificates in General Construction. He is currently completing a Diploma (DEP) in Carpentry.
In 2023, he married Paloris Palmer and subsequently migrated to Canada. He began attending Lighthouse in May 2025 and now serves as Assistant Pastor, where he continues to faithfully preach, teach, and labor in the Kingdom of God.
His desire is to continue growing in the grace and knowledge of God and to fulfill his God-ordained mission of winning souls for the Kingdom of God.
