Donation Policy for Lighthouse Tabernacle Apostolic UPCI

At Lighthouse Tabernacle Apostolic UPCI, we are grateful for the generous support of individuals who partner with us in our mission. This Donation Policy outlines how we handle donations and ensure transparency and accountability.
1. Use of Donations
All donations made to Lighthouse Tabernacle Apostolic UPCI will be used for ministry-related purposes as designated by the church leadership.
2. Online Donations and Security
We utilize secure third-party platforms (Square, PayPal, Faith Teams, Interac e-Transfers, and Canada Helps) to process online donations. We do not retain credit card or bank account information within our systems, thereby minimizing any risk of unauthorized access. The third-party platforms we employ are rigorously vetted to ensure compliance with industry standards for data security, including adherence to applicable regulations and best practices for safeguarding personal information. Notwithstanding, we will not be held liable for any breaches of confidentiality or data security that may occur on the part of these third-party platforms. By using these services, you accept this risk. If you choose to donate on a recurring, monthly basis, it is your responsibility to request the cessation of donations should you decide to stop. Until such a request is made, donations will continue as scheduled.
3. Tax Receipts
We are a registered charitable organization. Tax receipts will be issued only for eligible donations of $100 or more. Donations under $100 will not receive a tax receipt. If you would like a tax receipt for gifts under $100 please use the CanadaHelps website. Donations made through Square, Interac e-Transfer, or PayPal, tax receipts will not be automatically issued. Donors must request a tax receipt upon completion of their donation, provided the donation meets the minimum threshold of $100. Finally, we must be able to verify that the donation is clearly identifiable as coming from the individual requesting the receipt. If we cannot confirm the identity of the donor through these platforms, a tax receipt cannot be issued.
4. Refund Policy
Donations to us are non-refundable. Once a donation is made, it cannot be reversed or refunded.
