Pastor Stephen Hogan is the Lead Pastor and Founder of Lighthouse.
Stephen Hogan was born in 1981 to the late Isabel Turley Hogan and the late Harold Raymond Hogan. At the age of two, his father passed away, leaving his mother to raise him. Throughout his elementary school years, Stephen struggled academically due in part to the loss of his father.
At the age of twelve, Stephen was sent to a specialized school to help him succeed; however, he was negatively influenced during that time. Despite this, God’s hand was upon his life, and at the age of thirteen, in 1994, Stephen gave his life to Christ. From that point forward, he remained faithful to the work of the Lord.
In 1999, Stephen dropped out of high school because of his academic struggles. That same year, he received a vision from the Lord and was called to preach the Gospel. From that moment on, his passion for reaching people and fulfilling God’s calling grew daily. Over the years, the calling of God was confirmed many times, and Stephen became actively involved in preaching and teaching ministry.
In 2001, Stephen returned to adult education and completed his high school studies in June 2004. In September 2004, he enrolled in the Special Care Counseling program and completed his D.E.C. at Vanier College in 2011. He has worked with children, youth, and seniors, and with each experience, his desire to help people has grown deeper.
In 2005, Stephen enrolled in Québec Pentecostal Bible College, where he completed a two-year program and obtained his first ministerial certificate. In 2010, he returned to Bible college at Purpose Institute and completed four additional years of study, earning two more ministerial degrees: an Associate Diploma in Ministerial Studies and a Bachelor’s Degree in Ministerial Studies.
On January 1, 2011, Stephen was instructed by the Lord to start Lighthouse Tabernacle Apostolic. After three years of planning and evangelism, the first official service was held on May 4, 2014. On August 30, 2014, the ministry was officially blessed, and Pastor Hogan was formally ordained as a pastor and appointed by Pastor Carmen Hamilton, founder of Jubilee Apostolic.
On March 16, 2023, Pastor Stephen Hogan became a licensed minister with the United Pentecostal Church International, officially recognizing Lighthouse as a church within the organization. Pastor Hogan currently serves under the Quebec District.
In addition to his pastoral calling, Pastor Hogan is bi-vocational and has a background in accounting. His accounting journey began at the onset of COVID-19 in response to a need within Lighthouse. This led him to pursue formal training at the West Island Career Centre in September 2024, where he completed a one-year accounting program. This skill set has strengthened both his professional career and the ministry of Lighthouse.
Pastor Stephen Hogan is a true man of God, called to a unique ministry. His gift for reaching people is one of the many qualities God has used to build the ministry. His devotion to the work of God reflects his willingness to answer God’s call. His passion and desire are to teach the Word of God and to share the love of God with others.
